How PAWTY Toys Are Made: From Design to Your Door

Phase 1: Concept and Design
Every PAWTY toy starts as an idea. Our design team draws inspiration from pop culture, food trends, customer requests, and sometimes just pure silliness. We ask ourselves: what would make a dog parent laugh and a dog go wild?
Concepts go through multiple rounds of sketching and refinement. We consider shape and how a dog will hold, carry, and play with this toy. Size and whether it works for different breeds. Features and which PAWTY technologies fit this design including SuperSqueak, SnackStash, GentlePlush, and RuffRope. And aesthetics including whether it is Instagram-worthy and will make humans smile.
Take the Chewnel Bag as an example. The concept combined high-fashion parody with practical play design. The bag shape offers a natural grip for carrying, and the details make it immediately recognizable and shareable.
Phase 2: Prototyping
Once a design is approved, we create physical prototypes. This is where concepts meet reality and where many designs get sent back for revision. A toy that looks great on paper might not feel right in a dog mouth or might have structural weaknesses that only appear in physical form.
We typically produce 3 to 5 prototype iterations before a design is ready for testing. Each iteration refines the proportions, stitching, material placement, and internal construction.
Phase 3: Dog Testing
This is the most important phase and the most fun. Prototypes go to our network of dog testers we call the PAWTY Pack for real-world evaluation. We watch how dogs interact with each toy and collect data on how quickly dogs engage with the toy, preferred play styles including carry, tug, shake, and fetch, durability under different play intensities, squeaker response and interest level, and any safety concerns or design flaws.
If a toy does not pass the dog test, it goes back to design no matter how good it looks. Dogs are the ultimate quality control department.
Phase 4: Material Selection
Once a design is dog-approved, we finalize material specifications. Every PAWTY toy uses materials selected for safety, durability, and environmental responsibility.

PAWTY toys are manufactured with strict quality standards at every step. Cutting ensures fabric panels are precision-cut for consistent sizing. Assembly places internal components including squeakers, crinkle material, and structural support according to exact specifications. Stitching uses double and triple stitching at stress points to ensure seams hold under pressure. Stuffing provides consistent fill density for the right feel for each toy purpose. And finishing handles final details, closures, and quality inspection.
Phase 6: Quality Control
Before any toy ships, it passes through multiple quality checkpoints. Visual inspection checks for defects, uneven stitching, or material flaws. Functional testing verifies every squeaker and stress-checks every seam. Safety verification ensures no small parts, no loose threads, and no sharp edges. And random pull testing subjects samples from each production run to rigorous durability testing.
Our rejection standards are strict. If a toy does not meet our quality bar, it does not ship. Period.
Phase 7: Packaging and Shipping
We keep packaging minimal and recyclable wherever possible with no excessive plastic and no oversized boxes. Each toy is packaged to arrive in perfect condition while minimizing environmental impact.
